Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Tesla Model Y is somewhat cheaper – starting at 34,300 £ , while the BYD Atto 3 costs 38,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 4,285 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Tesla Model Y is visibly more efficient: consuming 13.1 kWh/100km compared to 16.4 kWh/100km for the BYD Atto 3. That’s a difference of about 3.3 kWh/100km.
