VW ID.4 is considerably cheaper – starting at 34,800 £ , while the Mercedes AMG GT costs 102,500 £ . That’s a price difference of around 67,722 £.

As for electric range, the VW ID.4 offers clearly more range – reaching up to 570 km, about 559 km more than the Mercedes AMG GT.

Under the bonnet, it becomes clear which model is tuned for sportiness and which one takes the lead when you hit the accelerator.

It's a technologically advanced car, but somewhere along the way VW forgot the pleasant cabin and the comfortable ride. It IS a VW — and that redeems it.

The ID.4 is a bit pricey, but very pleasant to drive. Its winter range could be better — then again, that's a problem all EVs are facing right now.

An ID.4 with 340 hp is not comparable to the Aiways U5! The U5 only has 204 hp! The ID.4’s boot is too small, rear legroom is too tight, no frunk, and it’s a bit confusing…
