Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Skoda Kodiaq is substantially cheaper – starting at 37,900 £ , while the Mercedes GLE costs 78,900 £ . That’s a price difference of around 41,035 £.

Mercedes is completely superior to Volvo, which feels plasticky and noisy with poor fit and finish, a poor tactile feel in the controls and a lack of buttons.
