Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

VW ID.3 is clearly cheaper – starting at 29,100 £ , while the MG MG4 costs 36,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 7,710 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the VW ID.3 is slightly more efficient: consuming 13.9 kWh/100km compared to 16.1 kWh/100km for the MG MG4. That’s a difference of about 2.2 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the VW ID.3 offers moderately more range – reaching up to 629 km, about 84 km more than the MG MG4.

The MG4 seems more versatile to me than the Dolphin, which relies mainly on design. The MG4 has proven itself and remains an excellent used option with low mileage.
