Price and efficiency are key factors when choosing a car – and this is often where the real differences emerge.

MG ZS is considerably cheaper – starting at 18,000 £ , while the Peugeot 508 SW costs 45,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 27,609 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Peugeot 508 SW uses 1.7 L/100km and is clearly more efficient than the MG ZS with 5.1 L/100km. The difference is about 3.4 L/100km.

With all the features it offers at that price, the MG has no competition. A BMW X1 of similar dimensions with a few extra upgrades costs more than twice as much, and considering that 40% of MG’s spare parts come from Germany (Bosch, Continental, etc.), I’d go for the MG ZS Hybrid without a second thought.

I've owned a 508 GT SW diesel since 2022. Its design is unbeatable for elegance and sporty style, very comfortable for travelling (I'm a sales rep) and has excellent cargo capacity. It's a shame PEUGEOT has discontinued production of this splendid car — it's given me nothing but satisfaction.
