A fantastic model with true SUV character. Noticeably more space, generous luggage capacity and a high driving position — just like an SUV — and, best of all, finally a petrol engine (instead of the diesels the competition offers), which is a great alternative. LPG installation is possible, too.

MG Brand clearly not as it once was, Chinese owned swamping the SUV market with cheap affordable SUV's, but low reliability rating (2025)

We have recently moved from an ID3 to and MGS5. For me, the S5 feels a decent upgrade. The build quality really surprised me, especially in the cabin. the drive is also reassuringly solid, and in my opinion better than the ID3. the MGS5 is slightly quicker, but not too much that it is noticeable, and also more practical due to it's size.
Gone are my days of thinking MG was now just a cheap Chinese alternative. Go and test drive one, you'll see!
