BMW iX1 is slightly cheaper – starting at 42,300 £ , while the Hongqi EH7 costs 49,700 £ . That’s a price difference of around 7,368 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the BMW iX1 is slightly more efficient: consuming 14.3 kWh/100km compared to 16.7 kWh/100km for the Hongqi EH7. That’s a difference of about 2.4 kWh/100km.

Intuitive to operate, excellent tactile feel, high seating position. More range or a larger battery would be desirable, but that would be nitpicking at the highest level.

Delightful driver's car. Light-footed, quick, silent and sporty.
If the range could be improved, it would be absolutely top.
You do have to buy a few option packs to make it fun — expect to pay around 70 grand.
