Costs and Efficiency:

Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Volvo XC90 is considerably cheaper – starting at 74,300 £ , while the Maserati GranTurismo costs 135,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 61,471 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Volvo XC90 uses 3.4 L/100km and is significantly more efficient than the Maserati GranTurismo with 10 L/100km. The difference is about 6.6 L/100km.

Engine and Performance:

I drive both cars. The XC90’s boot is — contrary to the figures posted here — noticeably larger than the GLC’s when carrying five people. Overall the XC90 is clearly the more comfortable and, above all, the more stable — and therefore the safer — car.
