Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Skoda Kodiaq is clearly cheaper – starting at 37,900 £ , while the Mercedes GLS costs 191,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 153,383 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Skoda Kodiaq uses 1.5 L/100km and is clearly more efficient than the Mercedes GLS with 13.3 L/100km. The difference is about 11.8 L/100km.

The Skoda Kodiac looks sleeker and is bigger. The Ford Explorer is a bit smaller and there was such a fuss made about it, but it’s disappointing in looks and even worse on the inside.
