Power, torque and acceleration are the classic benchmarks for car enthusiasts – and here, some clear differences start to show.

When it comes to engine power, the XPeng G9 offers clearly more power – delivering 575 HP compared to 197 HP. That’s roughly 378 HP more horsepower.

With all the features it offers at that price, the MG has no competition. A BMW X1 of similar dimensions with a few extra upgrades costs more than twice as much, and considering that 40% of MG’s spare parts come from Germany (Bosch, Continental, etc.), I’d go for the MG ZS Hybrid without a second thought.

XPeng G9

The XPeng G9 feels like a confident leap into the electric SUV world, with sleek, purposeful styling and an interior that mixes modern tech with everyday comfort. I drove the Mercedes EQS and the Xpeng G9 Performance. The Xpeng is an ultra-modern, voice-controlled car with excellent build quality, a superior sound system and air suspension. I now understand why VW invested €700 million to buy a 5% stake in Xpeng. VW cars in China now run on Xpeng technology.

I've seen and driven both cars. The XPeng 9 makes more of an impression. The Zeekr 7x's interior color is limited to black — a real shame! For a nicer contrast you'll have to have it wrapped in a different color. But that's a matter of taste! Otherwise the cars are comparable, noting that the XPeng is a proper SUV while the Zeekr 7x is a crossover.
