Costs and Efficiency:

Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

SERES 3 is marginally cheaper – starting at 32,900 £ , while the VW ID.4 costs 34,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 1,868 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the VW ID.4 is moderately more efficient: consuming 15.4 kWh/100km compared to 18 kWh/100km for the SERES 3. That’s a difference of about 2.6 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the VW ID.4 offers considerably more range – reaching up to 570 km, about 269 km more than the SERES 3.

The ID.4 is a bit pricey, but very pleasant to drive. Its winter range could be better — then again, that's a problem all EVs are facing right now.

An ID.4 with 340 hp is not comparable to the Aiways U5! The U5 only has 204 hp! The ID.4’s boot is too small, rear legroom is too tight, no frunk, and it’s a bit confusing…
