When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

Subaru Uncharted is barely cheaper – starting at 31,700 £ , while the VW ID.4 costs 34,800 £ . That’s a price difference of around 3,077 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Subaru Uncharted is somewhat more efficient: consuming 13.7 kWh/100km compared to 15.4 kWh/100km for the VW ID.4. That’s a difference of about 1.7 kWh/100km.

It's a technologically advanced car, but somewhere along the way VW forgot the pleasant cabin and the comfortable ride. It IS a VW — and that redeems it.

The ID.4 is a bit pricey, but very pleasant to drive. Its winter range could be better — then again, that's a problem all EVs are facing right now.

An ID.4 with 340 hp is not comparable to the Aiways U5! The U5 only has 204 hp! The ID.4’s boot is too small, rear legroom is too tight, no frunk, and it’s a bit confusing…
