Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

Tesla Model Y is considerably cheaper – starting at 34,300 £ , while the Mercedes C-Class EQ costs 58,000 £ . That’s a price difference of around 23,761 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Tesla Model Y is barely more efficient: consuming 13.1 kWh/100km compared to 14.3 kWh/100km for the Mercedes C-Class EQ. That’s a difference of about 1.2 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the Mercedes C-Class EQ offers somewhat more range – reaching up to 753 km, about 131 km more than the Tesla Model Y.
