BYD does represent something new, but the newly designed petrol engine could be risky over time since its reliability is unknown. A Volvo with a diesel engine is certainly more reliable, plus the Volvo experience which is synonymous with safety in every sense. Of course the price is clearly much higher. But after my experience with four Ford Galaxies, where the last one gave me nothing but trouble, I couldn't say. Because Ford, to me, was synonymous with reliability, which completely disappeared with the last experience. Will it be the same with Volvo now that it is no longer Swedish?

I drove the Cupra Tavascan and the Škoda Elroq, and after a test drive I ultimately chose the Škoda Elroq 85 Business Edition Advanced. I am very satisfied with the Škoda Elroq Business Edition Advanced. The car drives quietly and smoothly and feels nicely spacious. The controls are clear and the car has many useful features. All in all a pleasant and comfortable car that I enjoy driving. After a 7,200 km tour through Spain I'm still very satisfied with the Škoda.

The Skoda Elroq is more maneuverable in the city, easier to park than a Tesla, it doesn’t suffer from curbs that sometimes touch the front, it handles steep, poorly made garage ramps without problems, uses traditional distance sensors that are very reliable, and it’s a European product.

For me personally, compared directly with the ID4 "GTX", the Elroq is the slightly more mature and better-thought-out car for everyday use. It offers better ride comfort, software that runs a bit more smoothly for me, and by far the nicer design.
