When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

VW T-Roc is clearly cheaper – starting at 26,400 £ , while the Volvo XC90 costs 74,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 47,867 £.

Fuel consumption also shows a difference: the Volvo XC90 uses 3.4 L/100km and is considerably more efficient than the VW T-Roc with 5.5 L/100km. The difference is about 2.1 L/100km.

I drive both cars. The XC90’s boot is — contrary to the figures posted here — noticeably larger than the GLC’s when carrying five people. Overall the XC90 is clearly the more comfortable and, above all, the more stable — and therefore the safer — car.

I've been driving the VW T‑Roc for a few months now and I'm totally satisfied. 🚗 The higher seating position gives me a great feeling of security and the visibility in city traffic is excellent. I especially like the modern infotainment system — everything works intuitively and quickly. On the motorway it feels very calm and stable, even at higher speeds. Overall a great car that's a lot of fun and still economical.
