Price and efficiency are key factors when choosing a car – and this is often where the real differences emerge.

VW ID.3 is a bit cheaper – starting at 29,100 £ , while the Tesla Model Y costs 34,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 5,139 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Tesla Model Y is marginally more efficient: consuming 13.1 kWh/100km compared to 13.9 kWh/100km for the VW ID.3. That’s a difference of about 0.8 kWh/100km.
