When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

Dacia Bigster is markedly cheaper – starting at 20,600 £ , while the BYD Atto 2 costs 27,400 £ . That’s a price difference of around 6,858 £.

Engine and Performance:

Under the bonnet, it becomes clear which model is tuned for sportiness and which one takes the lead when you hit the accelerator.

When it comes to engine power, the BYD Atto 2 offers visibly more power – delivering 212 HP compared to 158 HP. That’s roughly 54 HP more horsepower.

When accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h, the BYD Atto 2 is noticeably quicker – completing the sprint in 7.5 s, while the Dacia Bigster takes 9.7 s. That’s about 2.2 s quicker.

I've done 6,000 km and I'm delighted. I haven't tried other EVs, but I'm thrilled with the BYD Atto 2. It's true I don't go on long trips — I do everything in the city and nearby, about 100 to 150 km a day — and honestly it's been great in every way. When I hit 300,000 km I'll tell you again. Haha

If the Bigster comes as a Hybrid 4x4 G150 automatic, it’s an interesting car. I’m currently leasing a Sandero Stepway running on LPG and will return it in November. Unfortunately that engine option isn’t offered in the Jogger, which makes the Bigster appealing to me. We’re fans of LPG — and now even with an automatic.
