Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

BYD Atto 3 is somewhat cheaper – starting at 38,600 £ , while the Hyundai IONIQ 5 costs 43,300 £ . That’s a price difference of around 4,766 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 is very slightly more efficient: consuming 15.6 kWh/100km compared to 16.4 kWh/100km for the BYD Atto 3. That’s a difference of about 0.8 kWh/100km.
