Price and efficiency are often the first things buyers look at. Here it becomes clear which model has the long-term edge – whether at the pump, the plug, or in purchase price.

VW ID.3 is visibly cheaper – starting at 29,100 £ , while the Abarth 600 costs 36,000 £ . That’s a price difference of around 6,853 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the VW ID.3 is noticeably more efficient: consuming 13.9 kWh/100km compared to 17.5 kWh/100km for the Abarth 600. That’s a difference of about 3.6 kWh/100km.

Both the Alpine A290 and Abarth 600e are fun cars - the first EVs to be properly engaging to drive. Despite the list price being significantly higher (but still below the critical £40k!), the Abarth is MUCH cheaper to lease... which makes the choice something of a no brainer in terms of value for money.
