Looking at overall running costs, both models reveal some interesting differences in everyday economy.

VW ID.4 is slightly cheaper – starting at 34,800 £ , while the MG MGS9 costs 38,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 3,780 £.

As for electric range, the VW ID.4 offers significantly more range – reaching up to 570 km, about 470 km more than the MG MGS9.

It's a technologically advanced car, but somewhere along the way VW forgot the pleasant cabin and the comfortable ride. It IS a VW — and that redeems it.

The ID.4 is a bit pricey, but very pleasant to drive. Its winter range could be better — then again, that's a problem all EVs are facing right now.

An ID.4 with 340 hp is not comparable to the Aiways U5! The U5 only has 204 hp! The ID.4’s boot is too small, rear legroom is too tight, no frunk, and it’s a bit confusing…
