When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

VW ID.5 is only slightly cheaper – starting at 37,200 £ , while the BYD Atto 3 costs 38,600 £ . That’s a price difference of around 1,397 £.

In terms of energy consumption, the VW ID.5 is only slightly more efficient: consuming 15.4 kWh/100km compared to 16.4 kWh/100km for the BYD Atto 3. That’s a difference of about 1 kWh/100km.

As for electric range, the VW ID.5 offers slightly more range – reaching up to 571 km, about 61 km more than the BYD Atto 3.
