When it comes to price and running costs, the biggest differences usually appear. This is often where you see which car fits your budget better in the long run.

MG ZS is considerably cheaper – starting at 18,000 £ , while the Volvo EX40 costs 45,200 £ . That’s a price difference of around 27,257 £.

Engine and Performance:

Under the bonnet, it becomes clear which model is tuned for sportiness and which one takes the lead when you hit the accelerator.

When it comes to engine power, the Volvo EX40 offers considerably more power – delivering 442 HP compared to 197 HP. That’s roughly 245 HP more horsepower.

When accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h, the Volvo EX40 is substantially quicker – completing the sprint in 4.6 s, while the MG ZS takes 8.7 s. That’s about 4.1 s quicker.

With all the features it offers at that price, the MG has no competition. A BMW X1 of similar dimensions with a few extra upgrades costs more than twice as much, and considering that 40% of MG’s spare parts come from Germany (Bosch, Continental, etc.), I’d go for the MG ZS Hybrid without a second thought.

I find them to be two models that aren't comparable,
the Model Y is much longer and wider.
I would choose the Model Y if it were within 4.50 meters in length.
